If you remain in the shallow, the Lord looks and longs with compassion. He holds out His arms, saying, “you can go on.” Has He ever proved Himself to you? Lean on that, or those experiences, and go back and remember what you were doing when He showed Himself strong. Then, as you move forward, do as James said in his letter to the churches, “ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him,” James 1:5. Some of those greater blessings you’ve been petitioning for are on out past the the break waters. Think about it, mighty ships don’t remain in the harbors, they venture out to sea, and God is calling you a mighty man or women of valor, only believe.
Judges 6:11-14
The Call of Gideon
11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. 12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. 13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. 14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
